Stûv fireplaces are designed to offer you a maximum of pleasure, comfort and safety. They are manufactured with the greatest care using high-quality materials and components, subsequently to award you with many years of trouble-free use. However, if in spite of our best efforts, a problem should arise, we consign to resolve the setback.

On the other hand, you, as user, also have an important role in getting the satisfaction that you expect from your Stûv fireplace. Therefore we strongly recommend that you :

• entrust the installation (or, at any rate, the inspection) to a skilled professional, principally so that he is able to ensure that the characteristics of the chimney pipe correspond to the fireplace installed;
• read carefully the directions for use and comply with the instructions for maintenance;
• have the pipe swept at regular intervals (once a heating season, for regular use), in order to ensure optimal operation and maximum safety.

Guarantee coverage

Stûv fireplaces are guaranteed against

• manufacturing defects;
• painting defects in the visible portions of the fireplace;
• breakage of glass: only if it occurs when lighting the fire for the first time;
• damage due to transport if it is notified within 48 hours of delivery.

This guarantee does not cover the damages caused to the fireplace or operational defects due:

• to installation that does not conform to industry practice and to the installation instructions;
  
• abnormal use that does not conform to the instructions for use;
  
• failure to perform maintenance;
  
• an outside cause, such as floods, lightning, fire, etc.

The guarantee is limited to the exchange of those parts that are recognized as defective, to the exclusion of any damages.

Guarantee conditions

This document must be returned to us, duly filled in, within one month following the date of the invoice from the vendor to the buyer.

Guarantee period

• 5 years on the body of the fireplace
  
• 1 year on the refractory materials, the electrical components (ventilators, thermostats, interrupters, cables, etc.), bottom grids, sealing joints, door mechanisms, hinges, pulleys, chutes, and clasps.
  

The guarantee period starts on the date of the invoice from the vendor to the buyer. The exchange of parts under warranty do not extend the duration of the initial guarantee.
